JUNIOR AND COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS


Awarded two full-ride tennis scholarships to Stanford for the Fall of 1996. Led the team to the NCAA Team Championship in '97 and '98.

Members of the USTA National Team in 1995 & 1996.

Named "American Junior Co-Players of the Year" for 1996 by Tennis Magazine.

Named "Co-Players of the Year" for '96 by Inside Tennis Magazine.

Received the "Co-Junior Sportsmanship Award", presented by the SCTA '97.

Both were named to the Stanford Athletic Honor Role, Bob was named "Freshman Male Athlete of the Year" in June of 1997, and Mike and Bob were named "Sophomore Athletes of the Year" in June of 1998.

Both were named All Americans in '97 and '98.

Bob was the NCAA Singles Champ in 1998 and Mike and Bob were the NCAA Doubles Champs that same year.

Bob was named the "College Tennis Player of the Year" by Tennis Magazine in 1998.

First team in 50 years to win two straight Boys 18s Doubles at the Kalamazoo Nationals.

First team in 30 years to win two straight Boys 18s Doubles at the Louisville Clays.

First Team in 96 years to win four straight Doubles Titles at the Ojai Tournament.

Also at Ojai they set a record by winning 116 straight games in doubles (that's 19 straight 6-0 sets!).

The Bryan Bros. were undefeated in American Junior Doubles in 1995 and 1996, winning 9 straight doubles titles including: Ojai, Clays in Louisville, Nationals in Kalamazoo - - - in 1995; and Easter Bowl in Palm Springs, Ojai, Bakersfield, Clays in Louisville, Nationals in Kalamazoo, and the U.S. Open Juniors - - -in 1996. 48 straight doubles matches over their last two years!

First brothers to win the NCAAs in 50 years.

Played on the "greatest college tennis team of all time" (1998 Stanford Team) and were undefeated in NCAA Team Championship play over two years.

Mike was undefeated in singles and doubles in dual matches in 1998, while Bob lost one singles match.

The first brothers combination to win four ATP Doubles Titles in one year: in 2001 (Memphis, Queens, Newport & LA)
